My parents are both missionaries in Mexico and I have three tattoos. My belief on tattoo's is that when God said to "not make any cuttings in your flesh on account of the dead or tattoo any marks upon you", he intended that towards satanic rituals. Before I got my first tattoo, I prayed about it for months, and I spoke to my Pastor about what he thought. It is my belief that when it comes to a tattoo or marking on your body, the meaning of the tattoo is what really matters. My three tattoos have strong meaning to me that will never change. I don't have anything evil on my body, nor do I have anything stupid on my body. I treat my body as a temple, just as the bible says to do. I am a Christian, I grew up in the church. I believe God was happy for me to get my butterfly/Cross tattoo with the inscription "Romans 8:1-3" on my back. Otherwise he would either have given me the desire not to do so, or I would never have found the right tattoo. I say this because I was 30 when I had the tattoo done, and I had never found the right image until just after my car accident. That's my own personal experience. I would recommend to anyone looking at getting a tattoo that they pray about it. Seriously Pray about it, as it's on your body for the rest of your life. Obviously if I have gotten one, you know what the answer was. By the way he has not stopped working in me, or using me to bring him glory. BTW the tattoo i have is a wooden cross looking like it is protruding my skin in my left arm. I would consider an angel tattoo in the future, only after prayer if I get the answer to do so.
