A couple of weeks ago at Church, my Pastor, Paul Bedford, played a video to us in the congregation of a conversation that BBC Radio 1 DJ Chris Moyles held on air. If you’re not from Britain, and have no idea who this chap is, he the most popular DJ on radio, with his show reaching many millions of listeners.
Now, he’s not usually someone that would ever ‘promote Christianity’, however, watch the video below and listen what he has to say after he watched a TV program the night before. He was amazed to see that there is an actual Jesus-loving Church out there, as his previous experiences have been that of a religious nature.
The video is the footage Chris Moyles was watching, with the radio excerpt playing over the top. The actual footage is from a Church in Peterborough, UK, with believers been baptised whilst the congregation worship. It’s inspiring stuff…
It is evident that there is also a Christian on the radio team as well, which is quite a surprise to say the least. Anyway, I hope this video can encourage you—seeing that the Glory of God can be marvelled at, even in the most secular of environments.
I must point, though, that Chris mentions how “fun” this church is. Lets not forget that going to church isn’t about having a good time. It is about worshipping your Creator, the LORD Jesus Christ. It’s also about listening to a Pastor preach the Word of God, too. That said, let’s hope that Chris does go to a church one day, and excepts Jesus into his life. I hope he goes to church and finds out what it it’s really all about.

Kings Gate Church in Peterborough, UK, you are on the road to wonderful things…thanks for sharing this video with me, I live in Oregon, USA where these kinds of churches are rampant, so proud of you to worship God like that in the UK, keep it up, spread your love around, I’m watching you! God Bless You! Angelwinged9
@Karla → Yeah, there are a few like this one, but like many people in the UK, only Christians know about them, which is a shame. There’s one called Abundant Life Church, about an hour away from my home, Pastored by Paul Scanlon, who is know internationally I think.
The best part about the conversation on this video, is the genuine amazement of Chris Moyles. Thanks for commenting
This is so awesome. I agree with you, to hear such utter amazement in his voice is so great. Do you know if anything happened after he talked so much about it on the air? Was their any follow up? Just wondering if anybody took the chance to hop on the bandwagon and keep professing the gospel to more and more lives.
Samuel → Hi there! I’ve no idea what happened next, although I do sometimes listen to the show, but there seems to be little impact. However, it may have had an impact on some of the listeners
