This illustration implies that you aren’t; that you are “enormously insignificant”. I disagree with this conclusion, as do Deptm2.com, who created the following rebuttal:

Am I unique?

Well, out of 100 billion galaxies, yes─you ARE unique. You are enormously significant!

God made every single person who ever lived totally special.

If you don’t know the LORD, why not look into who Jesus is:

How is Jesus Christ unique?

Answer: 1. He is the only, unique Son of God (Psalm 2:7, 11-12; John 1:14; Luke 1:35).

2. He is eternal. He existed from eternity past, He exists in the present, and He will exist for all eternity in the future (John 1:1-3, 14; John 8:58).

In response to a comment made on an old post entitled: Deplorable NHS Sex Leaflet for teens, here is a very quick sketch I drew at 1:20am.

Mary White left the following comment:

The NHS is committed to improving health, not forcing religion upon people. There is nothing wrong with 2 consenting people engaging in sexual intercourse provided they are of a legal age and use appropriate protection. The NHS is promoting safe and healthy sexual intercourse rather than burying its head in the sand and pretending that teenagers don’t have sex. I don’t need to mention that HIV and AIDS are rife in countries where so called Christian governments condemn the use of contraception. If you want to live long and stay healthy I would suggest teenagers read leaflets from their NHS rather than a book written a few thousand years ago which has no relevance to the modern day what so ever.

Mary, you are entitled to your opinion. God gave you the choice to say what you want.

Jesus loves you, so don’t make the wrong choice. Unless you turn to Him, God’s wrath is also upon you and time is short. I’ve dedicated an entire post to you instead of just replying to your comment. I think you’re worth the effort.

Without Jesus You’re Single is a simple Christian graphic I recently designed. I like to use word-play in order to get a statement of truth across: “Without Jesus You’re Single / Without Jesus You Sin“.

It’s just a simple message to show that Jesus is the only way. The only way to Salvation. The only way to eternal life.

Method for Prayer [Pray the Bible] by Matthew Henry is a wonderful Christian resource I have used before. If you ever get “stuck” with how to structure your prayers to the Lord Almighty, this site may be of interest to you.

The Method for Prayer site explains:

Resorting to a more scriptural pattern of prayer may be a simple (but profound) answer to many problems in our practice of prayer. There are a number of reasons that could be given as to why Christians should “Pray the Bible,” but the ones below combine to make a rather convincing argument:

1. Praying scripturally will teach us what prayer is, even while we do it.

2. It will correct “shopping list” views of prayer which abound in the Christian community.

3. It will begin to solve in our own minds the question of “unanswered prayer.”

4. It will remind us of just how much there is to pray about day by day.

5. It will teach us of the extreme urgency of prayer.

6. It will return proportion to prayers long on petition, but short on adoration, confession, and thanksgiving.

Is Jesus the only way to Heaven?

This is a question many people ask. It’s one of the most common questions featured over at GotQuestions.org. Here’s the featured question and extract of the full answer:

“I’m basically a good person, so I’ll go to heaven.” “OK, so I do some bad things, but I do more good things, so I’ll go to heaven.” “God won’t send me to hell just because I don’t live by the Bible. Times have changed!” “Only really bad people like child molesters and murderers go to hell.”

Last year, I wrote a post about this so-called “Christian” billboard design that angered me somewhat:

I don’t want to be negative here, but there are some “Christians” making a mockery out of the Christian Faith. Here, we have the prediction from Harold Camping that the rapture of the church will happen tomorrow.

Well, tomorrow will be here, and I will do my best to spread the true Christian message as long as I breathe air.

If it’s not December 21st 2012, it’s May 21st 2012 or any other date that people “calculate”. Take a look at the billboard design above; it should never have been designed. It will mislead people and strips Christians of their credibility.

If you are a Christian and have your heart set on such-and-such a date, please stop it. Just live your life for Jesus and quit worrying about such things. Yes, we will know when the time is near, and personally, I do believe we are close to Christ’s Return, but we are Not to try and set dates.

With all the chocolate eggs and holidays, don’t forget that Easter is all about Jesus, the Son of the living God.

He died to save us from our sins and rose again! He offers Salvation to all who respond and live for Him. If you don’t know Jesus, and would like more information, I encourage you to read these questions and answers about Jesus.

Finally, on this Good Friday, I just like to say that Jesus us LORD, the Saviour prophesied from the old-Testament Prophet Isaiah. Here’s my favourite verse from the Bible:

I recently read a new PDF booklet complied by the Evangelical Alliance here in the UK, who have just released an amazing Infographics PDF which is available to download.

Basically, the document is a survey of 17,000 Evangelical and non-Evangelical Christians who attended Christian events such as Grapevine, organised by the Groundlevel Network.

I haven’t read it all fully as yet, but it makes very good skim-reading due to its heavy use of fantastic infographics (page 12 example, whereby Assisted Suicide, Hell, Evolution, Woman in Leadership and Homosexuality are addressed):

This booklet makes a fantastic and insightful read, and will be useful to Christians, non-Christians and people of other faiths.

Why not make 2011 the year to know Jesus Christ?

If you heard the name of Jesus but have little or no idea about Him, then this is the time to look into who He was, what He did for us and who He still is today! If you want to know more about Christianity and why we believe what the Bible says about Jesus Christ, then I recommend reading His Word, the Bible, today. Here is a couple of resources to get you started:

Bible Gateway

Bible Gateway (Online Bible). I recommend the following translations: ESV (English Standard Version), NASB (New American Standard Bible), KJV (King James Version) and NKJV (New King James Version). There are also many other versions of the Bible Gateway site, even ones in different languages, too! A word of note, though, the NWT “version of the Bible” is not a valid translation and thankfully, does not appear the site.

Got Questions

Got Questions is a question and answer resource about subjects in the Bible. Very handy!

If you’ve been watching the news lately, you will have seen the story of how 33 chilean miners were trapped underground for 69 days. Many are only just been rescued now.

How horrible it must be, all that way underground. But at least they had each other. At least they had hope.

The story reminds me of what the Bible says about Eternal hell. But there’s no escape from that dreaded place. No hope. Ever.

The Bible describes hell as not only a place of fire, but utter darkness, too. New Testament describes hell as a bottomless pit (abyss) (Revelation 20:3), a lake (Revelation 20:14), darkness (Matthew 25:30), death (Revelation 2:11), destruction (2 Thessalonians 1:9), everlasting torment (Revelation 20:10), a place of wailing and gnashing of teeth (Matthew 25:30), and a place of gradated punishment (Matthew 11:20-24; Luke 12:47-48; Revelation 20:12-13) [references from Is hell literally a place of fire and brimstone?].

The only way to Heaven is through Jesus Christ, the Son of the Living God, who came to Earth to save us from our sin.
