The Ten Commandments – Typographic Video

Share on FacebookPin on PinterestTweet about this on TwitterShare on Tumblr

This great video was created by talented designer, Vit Ryznar. It shows us all what the 10 Commandments of the Lord are─in a very stark and interesting way. As can be seen in the image below, the “you shall not give false testimony against your neighbour” commandment shows a man with his hand in the air. I particularly like the “you shall not murder” visuals, too…

The Ten Commandments: Don't covet your neighbours Donkey

Image: Do Not blaspheme the Name of the Lord Jesus

Above: “You shall not misuse the name of the LORD your GOD”.

In regards the screenshot above, it actually shows on the video what these blasphemies are. I have to say that I was a little uneasy about this. I do think it is important that people know what these blasphemies are, but I still think asterisks should have been used in the middle of the words. Over than this issue, I think the video is fantastic, and I urge you to take a look below…

Jesus is LORD

I was watching TV today and heard a report that plans are been drawn up to make it illegal to state that Jesus is the only way (or something to that effect). I could easily vent my anger here, but instead I felt stirred in my spirit to just design something positive—and here it is—Jesus is LORD.

Love the 10 commandments video. Thanks for sharing. I was trying to decide whether to take a course in ‘Animation’ and after seeing this I am really inspired to go for it. It makes such an impact, seeing God’s Word animated. Thanks
